1 part chilli vodka (come on you do remember this one from last year don’t you?) or just normal vodka
dash of dry vermouth
1 part cranberry juice
A dash of cinnamon syrup
To make the cinnamon syrup all you need to do is put a 50/50 mix of water and sugar in a small pan with a broken cinnamon stick, warm over a low heat to dissolve the sugar and then just simmer gently for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before removing the cinnamon stick. You can store this simple syrop in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
To mix this variation on a martini just mix all ingredients and either shake in a cocktail shaker with ice or simply pour the mixture right over the ice cubes into a suitably spooky glass.
